Title: Silence
Author: shadowsofcherry
Pairing: YamaJima
Genre: Angst and Romance
Rating: PG
Warnings: The author is a lover of clichés.
Summary: Actions speak louder than words.
Disclaimer: They own me.
Notes: This is to take my mind off things and for unwinding; also for abandoning school work for a while and a stress reliever. xD It's been another long while ever since I wrote a fic for my OTP! Slightly shorter than my previous one, but it's still long. xD I hope you like it! Keep supporting YamaJima! ♥

Yamada lazily threw his things on the bed as he entered the room, not bothering to even fix his belongings. Yuto followed and gently closed the door behind him. He sighed heavily and sat on his bed as he observed Yamada open the balcony doors and head out. He watched intently as the older boy stretched out and breathed in the cool night air, and leaned on the railings after.

Obviously, they had their preferences on who to share a hotel room with. Yamada with his best friend, and he - Yuto - with his guitar buddy. They could protest a change of rooms, but that would just create havoc and they'd appear to the other members as if they were avoiding each other...or were they?

They didn't choose whom to be close with. It just happened that because of this, what they had between them changed; the more that they got closer to the other person in their life, the more that they became distant to each other. Before, they could talk about anything under the sun. And when they had ran out of things to say, they'd remain silent, and it wouldn't be awkward. But now, just the mere fact that they haven't talked at all and there was silence was as a matter of fact, worse.

Yuto wondered if Yamada would avoid him if he tried to move close. There was already a gap and it would feel strange to quickly fill that in. They both know that it would take some time to get things back to the way they were before...if that were even to happen.

Silence was all they had, and neither of them was even bothering to break it.

Yuto shifted his gaze back to Yamada, who was still in the same position, admiring the view from the balcony. They haven't talked since they found out that they were to share one room. They just stared at each other - expressionless - and then that was it. It ended up like that until they both entered the room. He wanted to end it, and the only thing to do is to break the barrier between them.

Yuto stood up and walked over to Yamada and found himself instantly in a dilemma. When he was finally facing Yamada's back, he didn't know what to do, that he went for something that he didn't even think about - an embrace. He felt how his arms acted out on their own and he simply gave in without thinking.

Yuto felt Yamada shifted, and after a gasp of breath, became stiff and refused to move. Yuto was scared, but it was too late to withdraw nor apologize. He didn't feel sorry for doing it anyway, he just didn't expect that he'd be in this position; not a single word, just a tight embrace.

Yamada was afraid to even breathe. After all this time, this would be how they greet each other. He didn't know how to react, and inadvertently became cautious, making himself appear reluctant. Deep inside him, all he wanted to do was turn around and return the embrace. But he found himself in a futile attempt, and all he could do was to cry helplessly.

Yuto twitched a little when he felt a drop of some liquid fall on his arm. He thought it was a raindrop, but figured it wasn't, since it was starry that night. It finally led him to only one conclusion - Yamada was crying. Yuto wanted to comfort Yamada, but he seemed to have lost his voice at the moment. He couldn't do anything and relied on his actions instead.

Releasing his grip around Yamada's shoulders and waist, Yuto turned the other boy to face him. Just as he suspected; Yamada was crying, and it was so unfair how he could still manage to appear angelic as his features blended with the soft moonlight. Yuto thought it was dangerous; he was falling again for him.

The tears were beautiful, but Yuto thought that it was painful to see Yamada in pain because of him. He rested his forehead against the older boy's as he ran his hands gently over Yamada's cheeks. Yuto glided his long fingers through Yamada's soft hair, until both of his hands ended up on Yamada's neck, just under the shorter boy's jaws, and carressed the smooth skin.

It was the same as before. Yamada felt the same against his touch. Hugging Yamada closer, Yuto inhaled the irresistable scent and sensed his urges taking over. It was too overwhelming not to give in that he ended up crashing his lips against the fragile Yamada.

Every second lost was made up, and every possible emotion was expressed through the kiss; longing being the most prominent one.

Yamada moved his lips against Yuto's as he clenched Yuto's leather jacket and pulled on it, making the distance between them smaller than it could ever be. Yamada could only describe Yuto's lips with one word - familiar.

Yuto pulled away as he breathed in for air. Closing his eyes, he leaned his forehead against Yamada's. Yamada, on the other hand, scrutinized Yuto's face as if he hadn't seen him before. A single teardrop escaped his eyes; everything's coming back to him.

Yamada wrapped an arm around Yuto's waist as his other hand traveled to Yuto's nape, his fingers playing with Yuto's long hair. Yamada furrowed his eyebrows as he pushed himself against Yuto's chest, finally breaking into a series of tears.

Yuto was taken aback, but not for long. He then buried his nose on Yamada's hair, as he returned the embrace.

"I..." Yamada started, finally breaking the long, awful silence that had been going around them for too long. "I still love you..." He murmured through his tears, his voice muffled against Yuto's shirt. "...but we don't talk anymore, and I feel that we're--"

Yuto ran his fingers over Yamada's lips, wanting them to stop from shaking, but Yamada only trembled more in response. Yuto ran his nose over Yamada's cheek until he reached Yamada's ear.

"It doesn't mean that if I don't talk to you, is that I don't care anymore." Yuto's lips brushed against Yamada's ear ever so lightly.

Yamada listened intently to the taller boy's words, being thorough to hear every word that Yuto says.

"I need you back, Yamada Ryosuke."

Yamada's tears fell out as he crashed his lips against Yuto's. Yuto replied with just as much fervour. After a moment of passion, Yamada pulled away and rested his head on Yuto's chest, and the latter embraced back, just as tight.

They stayed like that for a long while.
